Welcome to The Mad Beader's website for Distinctive Artisan Jewelry made by me, Karen Hawkins.  Designs use precious and/or semi-precious gemstones, pearls and fossils. Most pieces are accented with Swarovski Austrian crystal, Karen Hill Tribes fine, hand-wrought Thai silver(99.9% pure) and/or Balinese sterling beads.  It is my goal with every design to creat a piece of "wearable" art with the best materials possible.

Payment

 *****PLEASE NOTE****** I am working out the kinks in my Paypal shopping cart.  At the present time, anyone wanting to purchase more than one item  must go through the Paypal payments process for each item.  If this is the case,  please contact me first so you won't incur added shipping charges.  Rarely, but possible I may sell a one-of-a-kind piece at a trunk show that presents online as still available because of an inventory update lag.  Thank you for your understanding and patience. 

Payments are processed using a SSL secure PAYPAL shopping cart. all Major credit cards are accepted.

Shipping

I ship ASAP after payment is received ususally within 5 business days, via USPS Priority Mail for orders over $50.  First class mail is used for orders under $50 for $3.00 S&H.   There may be a rare occasion when it may take a bit longer but NEVER more than 7 days after payment is received.  I only use delivery confirmation, and insurance costs are included in the shipping & handling charges for each package. 

All Jewelry arrives in a lovely drawstring organza bag with a card detailing the materials used in each piece. 

Refunds and Exchanges

It is important to me that you LOVE your new piece, so if there are any problems please feel free to contact me.  I accept returns within 7 days of receipt of the package (it must be in its original condition and unused) for a full refund (less shipping charges) and within two weeks for store credit.   All returns most use USPS delivery confirmation, I'm not responsible for lost returns.  PLEASE  contact me for Return Authorization first.  I do not accept returns on Custom Orders or orders that have been re-sized.

Resizing and Repairs

I am happy to restring, resize, etc. most pieces.  There may be an additional charge, please contact me  for information.

I welcome CUSTOM ORDERS!  My pieces are unique and often one-of-a-kind and not all can be duplicated.  I love collaborating with customers who want specific gemstones,  earrings or bracelets to match, etc.
