The Mad Beader
sells distinctive gemstone jewelry finely crafted by Karen Hawkins. All jewelry is made using genuine precious and/or semi-precious gemstones, fossils, pearls. Fine Thai and Balinese silver beads and Swarovski austrian crystals are used as accents and/or focals within a design. NO base metals are used.
The hand selection of gemstones for their uniqueness, quality of cut and polish is a company trademark. Jewelry designs are mostly one of a kind but can be in editions of 2 to 3 and utilize gem-grade stones.
Karen Hawkins received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine art from University of Delaware in 1982 and shows her work in the greater Philadelphia area. Since 1996 she has also worked as a licensed massage therapist and is grateful every day to be doing the things she loves. She loves animals, hikes in nature and travelling the world far and near.
